Purple is the New Basic

Spring has sprung: Think of purple as your new neutral—this shirt will work with almost anything in your wardrobe.

Van Heusen Design Director Wanda Ramos wanted to capture the warmer weather and punchier colors in the Spring ‘12 “Fitted” collection. A classic, tweaked: This cotton-blend dress shirt in a perfect white-on-berry stripe is a little bit bold but still utterly wearable. Part of our Fitted line, it fits closer to the body and is cut to taper a bit at the waist—trim but fully maintaining the comfort of classic Van Heusen.

We love the slimmed-down spread collar, the sleeker French front and the just slightly contrasting smoky gray buttons. The back couldn’t be cleaner with two pinch pleats for optimal fit. This shirt is wrinkle-free.

Style Tip: Pair this shirt with a lightweight khaki or grey suit and a modern striped or solid tie for a totally fresh look.

Pierre-andré Schaerer please Wanda Ramos, please have the buttons attached with a small shank like it used to be on all shirts before WW2 . Shank wrapping is a quality feature which makes it much easier to button and unbutton and it prevents bulging of the button hole. See www.ascolite.com This is the Swiss company successfully offering this technology to the shirt and garment industry around the world. Do you want to get some samples and costing ?
